Nugget: Les Marchands de Vins, the new hidden place in the 17th...
Sheltered from the tumult of the Place de Clichy, hides a little nugget, a new restaurant where to eat and guzzle not to be missed. Passed the large porte-cochere of the Marchands de Vins, we discover a magnificent green courtyard which leads us to a warm and colorful canteen. At the same time cosy, calm and intimate, the place is bathed in light and the open kitchen allows you to devour your dish under the eyes of the chef.
We go there to taste one of the 120 wine references sourced with love by Adrien, at the same time as we savor the dishes concocted by chef Clément Eymery. On the menu? Plates of homemade cured meats, reworked cold cuts and cheeses, lentil salads, soft-boiled egg and smoked bacon onion emulsion, tender sea trout accompanied by a citrus vinaigrette and stewed shallots, not to mention a delicious chestnut mousse, vanilla shortbread, whipped cream and chestnut chips. There is something for every palate.
As for drinks, Mathilde, Adrien and their team can advise you on how to taste them. Special mention for the wine from Château Guibeau and the Thokozani from South Africa with delicate notes of cocoa. The food and wine pairings are deliciously gourmet and perfectly mastered, the menu is tailor-made and changes every month! The dishes are fresh, seasonal, homemade and above all accessible. Like what, Les Marchands de Vins is definitely the spot the neighborhood was missing.
